Picture of Garden

My whole yard is kind of garden-like, with plants here and there around the place.  Right now everything is pretty dormant, though the chuparosas are still blooming a little bit.

Spring -- which actually starts in mid-January -- is when everything really starts to go crazy, especially if we've had sufficient rain during the winter.  Unfortunately, we haven't had much rain this year so far.

But last year was a good one for spring flowers.  I can spend hours taking pictures of the cactus in bloom, and I think I already shared photos of my ironwood tree.  But what I really have a lot of fun with are the purple sage bushes when they are literally humming with bees.
