Ammie, Come Home - Barbara Michaels

Just getting started for the buddy read.

Ammie, Come Home was published in 1968; I first read it sometime in the early 1970s.  It may have been the first of Barbara Michaels's books I ever read.  I didn't read it again until about six months ago, when I went on a Barbara Michaels binge.

Why another reading so soon?  Because I want to look at this one very closely.  And the input from other readers is going to be interesting.
