The Moonstone - Wilkie Collins

I have such a bad case of "the creeps" right now that I may have to sleep with the lights on.

I've never read The Moonstone before.  Never seen a movie version (if there even is one) or read a condensed version.  There was no Wikipedia in 1991 when I was writing the book that would be published the following year as Desire's Slave and republished in 2011 as Secrets to Surrender.

I was reading The Moonstone on the Kindle while we were waiting for our pizza tonight.  Franklin Blake is telling this part of the story and he has just made his discovery at the Shivering Sands, based on the information provided to him by Limping Lucy,

If I didn't know better, I'd think I had plagiarized Wilkie Collins.
